Who We Are…

We’re Dawn and April, two friends—that call themselves grandma—that like to make art together! We have been working together as the artist duo popo and lola since 2020. Together, we have worked on two large scale public mural projects for the City of Richmond: one for Thompson Community Centre, and another for Westwind Elementary School. We’re based on the unceded territories of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh peoples.
